 Pretty scary entering this challenge, as I know my "Best" can't possibly compare with the majority of shots that will be entered. But nonetheless it's my best, or at least one of my favorites. :-)

Beautiful study of a small detail supported by well considered desaturation and toning. Also a nice use of light and shadow to communicate shape, texture and setting. 8
