Taken on Isle of Palms at sunrise. Editted and entered for Phototournament's challenge on sights you see on your daily walk... One of the few shots I still have the original for that I didn't enter in a DPC challenge

what a beautiful moment you have captured. i have a seriously love/hate relationship pursuing sunrise photography. it's not automatic, and sometimes i spend so much time working at it that i miss the actual experience! it is really difficult to get an exposure that captures everything, and you've done a good job here. and, i really hate saying this, i think your image would really rock if you cropped out the right 30% (meaning the sun, itself). it is just so overpowering that it really takes away from the overall image. hold your hand up to the screen, and you'll see what i mean. but, that's just my opinion. you have a fine image, and i hope it does well for you here. good luck in this, and the challenges yet to come!
The human element in this makes it have a good impact. I like the roll of the waves, makes the scene more dynamic. The sun looks a bit strange, but that can happen. 7
I like the water and the silhouetted people but the sun and it's reflection are blown out. There also seems to be a pink and then yellow halo around the sun. I like the image but would have scored it higher if it wasn't blown out.
great use of rule of thirds...the colours are wonderful...It seems that the focus is on the water and the lady and dog are a little off. Still a very nice image.
