The sense of framing here is perfect and the composition, extraodinary. This image I love. The red pot makes this absolutely outstanding. Unfortunately, to me, the pigeons are very distracting and detract from the piece. Just having the potted plant there would be even more effective, maybe possible with a person walking by it. This is still a phenomenal image to be very proud of.
what an interestng perspective. i love the red pot down below, in how that grabs your eye and gives you such a strong sport to start working your way through the image. good work, and good luck in this and the coming challenges!
The Old Town Hall in Geneva, again, huh? There are so many signature elements to this composition: the near-incidental (but essential) presence of life, the moment of oddness provided by the plant-pot, the strong sense fo rhythm and repetition in the railings and balustrades, and in the arches, the geometrical framing , the sense of texture in the stone. And a sense of waiting in shadow, which is not uncommon in your work either. It works on very many levels (regression through the various arches, one plant, two birds, three square windows, etc.). I lmost feel I know my way around this place now.
Nice shot. I like the silhouette/shadow look but hate those birds lol. I find the picture to be very grainy or almost blurry. I like that shot it could be the contrast that is thowing off the crispness. Well done and keep up the good work. <8>
Nice use of framing. Not sure if I like, or dislike, the bright potted plant. It sure does stand out in this somewhat mono-/duotone image. I like the mix of railings too.
Very well seen composition, but I think it would have been a stronger picture if you had cropped out the bottom 25%, starting just above the knob on the ironwork bannister..
The Bay in the pot gives some slight humour to ehis shot, a shot of colour in an otherwise low tonal images. I like this idea. For me the Pidgeons are secondary.
Interesting - I like the way the arches and the stairwell frames the scene. Might have been better if the pidgeon on the left had assumed a less 'messy' pose, but thats just nitpicking. Also I'm not sure whether you have left the potplant in as some sort of commentary, but from a purely aesthetic point of view it is inconguous with the rest o the scene and would be better cloned out. Nicely done. 8.
