Ahhhhh...I remember this! Have one similar that I converted to a painterly look. 10 seconds old if even that! The svrub colors really make a great background for this to accentuate the little one. Great job!
Did you get your arm pulled off too? (C:
Nicely timed and composed photograph, with good detail and not over-saturated. This will make a great family album shot that any parent would love. ((8))
A bold entry of the alternate route of birth. Quite a remarkably sound photograph on technical grounds. I've always wished I could take my camera into the OR, but that's off limits except for family. Well done.
no pun intended, but this is breath-taking! for the life of me, i cannot understand how anyone can deny the existence of God. thanks for sharing a completely remarkable image!
Wonderful documentary work. Impeccable - catches that sense of delicacy and brutality of the operating theatre. I would expect, however, that many folks wil find it too bloody for here; a great shame. It should be published.
I'm one of those for whom the sight of blood, even in the context of the miracle of a new little life, is disturbing. Looking beyond that, I find this a powerfull image. Think it would be better if processed as the mirror image, with the baby facing to the right. I read years ago that Westerners read from left-to-right and that photos that flow the other way are sometimes at a subconscious level disturbing to that audience, don't know if it's true, but just a thought. ...7...
First time that I see this online, but I must say: Very tasteful and well done.
You can see this is a Caesarian Section, but is not too messy. I love it how the head comes out and sees the first light and all this hands are around him (or her) to carefully help him into the world, just like your title says.
I hope they both are doing fine?
This image is both aesthetically disgusting and heartwarming. Unpleasant to view yet it makes me feel good. Thats the beauty of life I guess. This must have been an amazing moment. I really like the contrast between the sterility of the gowns and gloves and the new life. Did you try it in black and white ?? I think that might solve some of the unpleasantness issues and focus attention on the miraculous nature of life 7.
