Probably the closest I've ever gotten to a snowy egret. We kind of snuck up on each other, and I literally got only this exposure before it flew off. But I'm not sure I could have asked for a better pose.

A very difficult shot to get a correct exposure of the egret against the dark background. I don’t know how you could have done any better with the time you had to compose it. Congratulations on a beautiful capture.
