Henry and I spotted this grumpy-looking turtle while hiking along a wildlife sanctuary area of southeast Austin. I don't think it was especially pleased to have its portrait taken, but I couldn't help myself.
I think the turtle was flattered to have the picture taken - an inspiring,incredible design - but hardly a page of a calendar.
Great coloring. Perhaps a bit of burning on the bottom left part?
