Took me a while to find one with just the right context, but one morning this young bluebonnet stem seemed perfectly positioned in the foreground of a grassy pasture near a wooded area. These are planted all around Texas roadways, being the state flower, but this is one of the less showy varieties that grows wild in the quieter parts of the countryside as well.
