Thanks so much for all the superb comments. I didn't expect so many. I haven't been shooting that much for the challenges, but I felt like I wanted to enter the free study except I didn't know what to shoot, until only a few days before the month ended.

This is the sort of dreamy, grainy duotone I most aspire to be able to produce myself someday. To be able to achieve something this texturally tactile and yet still so soft and gentle is incredible to me.
I love this shot you created. Every dog owner understands how they wait for us to come home. Your image captures this in such a delicate way it adds depth to the story. a top pick for me. This will be one of my favorite images ever.
