The Burton Farmers Gin in Fayette County, Texas, is on record as the oldest continuously operating cotton gin in America. The structure in this image was constructed in 1914 and is powered by an historic 1925 Bessamer Engine (according to the local museum website). Unfortunately, I have yet to tour it in person with the kids yet, but it's on the books for the near future.

Sadly, I don't even know what a cotton gin is, but I assume it's related to either textiles/fabric, or liquor. Great image! Congratulations on the ribbon!
Another stunning shot! A wonderful subject, I love the muted colors that place the whole thing in a long-forgotten era. The lettering at the top and bottom is very suitable too
