Fagradalsfjall first erupted in March 2021, in Geldingadalir on the Reykjanes Peninsula. It was the first volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula in about 800 years and quickly became an immensely popular ?gig? ? thousands of people hiked there to watch the lava flow and take photos.
