This little chapel, which was built around 110 years ago using leftover lumber from a nearby school project, sits just outside of Warrenton, Texas. It's only about the size of a small bedroom and can seat about a dozen parishioners. It also has a small cemetery in front. But it still hosts occasional (monthly, I believe) mass services and claims to be the world's smallest active worship Catholic church.
I love photographing these historic Czech-German heritage churches out here. They remind me of my childhood days, when my grandparents would take me out to polka dances hosted in the many turnverein-style community centers in these south central Texas rural communities.
