I've wanted to photograph this local strip center in a low-income part of town for a while now. This challenge gave me the perfect excuse to finally do it. But it's hard to find a time when the parking lot isn't so full of cars that you can get a good, clean shot of the storefronts. (Not to mention trying not to look like a suspicious White guy surveilling a mostly Hispanic group of consumers in a difficult political era for the working class here in Texas.)
This particular night, it happened to be raining, so the parking lot happened to be empty and glistening with the all-night fluorescent lights. I did a little fist pump when I saw that. Just hoping others see in it the cinematic undertones of market life after-hours that I'm hoping to convey.

I don't really care for the edge treatment, but that's just my preference. When I look at it, I want to crop the window on the far left to get rid of the blue and a bit of the foreground to make the blue chairs the visual center.
