Congratulations Yura on the ribbon and a great score. I am truly happy for you. To me the shot really fits your style in a bit ironic way ;-) I really hope this opens up a broader audience to your creative and original work.
This was a great entry because it appends to the original and in doing so it becomes a work worthy to look at in its own right. Congratulations on your yellow.
Well, would you look at that, a ribbon at last - for some reason I had a hunch this was yours: I think because of the reference you made to trying to do the multi-image comp in the lead up to voting. Well that, and that distinctive border of yours again :P.
Anyway, what impresses me (and more than a few others by the looks of it) about this is the way you managed the reflections in the waterdrops while maintaining the flurescent background. Would be great if you could post something to explain.
Congrats.
Naww! The border is from the original image =) I am never putting one on my challenge pics anymore, 'cause even though it's a vanilla border, people for soem reason recognize it =)
The reflection vs color is easy, the original shot didn't have color, just a print of kiwiness' frames refracted in the waterdrops and blurred in the background. Colors are made with 10 hue/sat colorize adjustment layers with gradient masks, exposing 20% of the pic with the right color. I tried actually doing it with hi-lighters, and you can do the color that way easily, but they appear in the drops too and they cover up the image in the bg, so couldn't do it that way.

This image is simply great! here you outdid yourself. One of the few entries that equals the strenght of the original. Bumping up.
Like the watercolors, the clever inclusion of the x-ray frames and the artisitc touch of having the clips color and width replicated in the border. One of my ribbon picks this challenge
Fun to do drops, isn't it? I think this improves on the first as your reflected image is clearer than the other. I like your choice of orientation on the paperclips as well. Interesting effect overall. Looking forward to your notes, as it is unclear how you managed to create the colored background while using the white image. Luck in the challenge!
Pretty good imitation, even, it appears to my eye, down to processing. Can't quite see how you get the background colours and the plain white image in the water, and also your background image hasn't the strength of organisation of the original.
Hehehehehe - did you get authorisation from Kiwiness to use his image in your photo - this is a gross violation of copyright laws :P. On the other hand - its brilliant and I love it - 10. All sorts of comedy.
HA! Someone did it! This image got talked about a lot (multi image) but nobody could figure out how to get it in there. Nice work. Hope you talked to Kiwi about borrowing his image!
