Just a little flat as far as the lighting goes. Plus I feel there's too much fruit being used. Did you consider placing the fruit in a bowl, and then maybe a few on the table?
The flower looks fake also due to the bright coloured stems.
I'd describe this as "academically compelling." And I mean that as high praise. This feels like it belongs in a textbook dealing with how one artistic medium can pay homage to another.
