This is Pete. He's one of our shelties. While in the "playpen" (fenced area for horse exercise) he is constantly on the lookout for anything to bark at. :-) Usually cars driving by on the distant road out front. Sometimes us, when we're in the field - guess he doesn't recognize us (getting old - around 13 now).
I happened to be visiting my wife at the barn while she was feeding the horses and on my way back to the house I hung out with the dogs for a bit. Had the camera with me (as usual) and was enjoying the low, backlighting, sunlight. Liked this better than the other shot I had in for this challenge, so here it is.

Your image is gorgeous! My top pick. The Bokeh in the background is like a stained glass window. Not to mention such a beautiful furry dog with the sun shining through his fur. Everything about your image is stunning.
