No, it's not a vegetable. Nor, it turns out, is the corn or the eggplant or the summer squash, all of which I bought and cut into for this challenge. But enough is enough - I like the color and it's going in. Somehow I doubt I'll be alone in entering a fruit . . . or a grain . . . or an herb . . . or a fungus . . .
