Oii! What a mess. :) I hadn't made ice cream in a couple years. Last time was with the Scouts and they were the ones that kept the ball moving! Lot of work doing it by yourself.
I probably should have timed this better. Was under pressure to finish as it was dinner time. The ice cream mix would have been firmer had I given it another 5-10 minutes on ice.
After taking this photo, I set the ball at the end of the table, and we had dinner. Afterwards, the ice cream that was left in there was perfect! It had a chance to firm up more and was quite yummy. :-D
The ingredients are 1 quart of heavy cream, 3/4 cup of sugar, and a splash of vanilla extract. The other side gets ice and rock salt (1/2 cup to start). Keep it moving for 10 minutes (should be more like 15), open it up and scrape the sides down. Then keep it moving for another 10-15 minutes. Should be close to done at that point.

Congratulations on 5th position. This food photography is superbly well done because we are in the action. The light is well controlled. Well done, good work
