This is the original. Yes, I skewed to straighten the vertical but only a very little bit. I think the main problem was, as Steve pointed out, the use of the wide angle lens.

There seems to be a bit of vertical distortion. His head doesn't look quite right to me. Wideangle lens at a low perspective I am guessing? Otherwise a pleasing portrait of a historical reenactor.
