when this challenge was announced i wanted to get photos of a bird or birds in the bird bath .. i felt that could be seen as pretty ordinary .. like bathing is a commonplace event for many ..
the birds dont come often so it was a test of my patience .. and I only tried once for about 10 mins ..
this bird jumped in the bird bath for all of three seconds and i wasnt quick enough to catch it .. then he flew to that branch .. sat there for a minute and flew off ..
the weather had turned cold, dreary and wet and there wasnt enough light .. i used the flash to get some light on the bird .. and the background was very dark ..
f5.6 was as wide as i could go with the 2 x extender on the 40-150mm lens ..
i seem to get a fair amount of noise on the olympus mirrorless even with relatively low iso settings .. do other ppl with the same camera have this problem .. ?? ..

There is something that stands out to me about this particular species of bird's, maybe their eyes. I love your bird bath images of them but something about this one catches my eye a little differently. This is a beautiful image.
