I love the emotion of the dog in this picture, though I'm definitely thrown off by the flying horse. What's up with that? Very cool picture, though. Also, the slight hint of a dark corner in the bottom right... are you using a lens for this shot?
The title suggests someting the picture does not really reveal. Good idea though, keep thinking like this and make the picture say the idea more clearly. :)
I must admit the dog is way cute but the overall images doesn’t do any thing for me. I would also have to say that the filling flash was a little harsh to look natural.
Would love the pic of the dog just by itself - show all of its paws and don't worry about the pinata in the background. Lighting is nice and even around the dog
it almost looks like the dog is "dreaming" of the horse -- I find the logs on the right, and all the space on the left unnecessary to the idea you seem to be presenting, perhaps a vertical crop? The dog is also a lot brighter than the rest of the image (a flash, I'd guess) which would maybe be OK, except the horse seems to be the same color, just unlit...
Okay... the horse is really intriguing. The flash is very hard, and what caused the vignetting in the lower corners? Good thing you didn't try to ride just on the pun.
Would've preferred this w/out the groundup horse (but of course that would mean you'd need a new title, too) . . . and I'm not even a vegetarian! Love the shot of the dog though, great perspective.
It's hard to tell if that horse is hanging from the tree or where it's coming from...am I correct if I think it's a small ornament hanging over the dog's head to make him look like he's dreaming of dog food? I can see a faint white line. If I'm not totally missing something (and if I am, I apologize), I think this would have been a lot better with a less busy, lighter colored background.
I love the way you captured this dog's expression :). The horse in the tree gives the photo a surreal aspect, like a Chagall painting or something. I think though that it would be cool if the dog was more definitely the subject of the photo.
lol. good ground shot while maintaining a sense of humor. I like how the horse looks as though the dog is thinking about it, sorta like how characters talk in comic strips.
Background seems a bit busy, with the fence and the wood pile. Maybe need to isolate the dog & pony a bit more cleanly. Also, composition seems very central - move the camera to the left a bit, and you could have had the dog on the right of the shot, looking to the left to the tree/ horse and it might have been a more interesting structure ?
