Graphophone was a trade mark name given to an improved version of the phonograph. It was invented at the Voltra Laboratory established by Alexander Graham Bell. Voltra Laboratory was created in 1886, They also invented the Dictaphone. This type of phonograph was powered by the crank handle on its side.
