I would have to state that the visual pun is one of the ONLY photos that didnt go for the obvious. You wouldnt believe how many photos there were of people blowing on things... is the topic breeze, or blowing, no its "wind". The word has many meanings, and to those who disparage at the pun, well.
I think there were some clock photos working along the same (unsuccessful) line ... I knew where this would end up. But for me, the door was opened when the challenge description included NO examples, but only the adjective "ethereal"
I didn't have tome to organize and try my other variation on this idea ... hands blurred as they wind up a ball of knitting yarn.

Crop is a bit tight. Seems like the spool is your focal point but I'd think you'd at least want the entire crank in the frame. The background and harsh shadow cast upon it does nothing for this photo.
You win the prize for correctly identifying the largest number of weaknesses : )
I have reasons/excuses for all of them which I won't bore you with.

First a new camera, then a bigger hard drive ... maybe all of you who actually liked the "out of the box" thinking can chip in to buy me a Kevlar vest ...
Funny. I see you understand how to move in the challenge's grey area. You should have used another light source. The direct flash creates shadows hich are to hard, and aggressive highlights. Also, you might have taken water as background. I hope this helps.
