This is totally a personal preference here. I think I'd really like this better without the water drops. To me, when the water drops are on a rose, it reminds me that the rose is fresh, and new and full of life. The water makes it seem even more alive. This shot, suposed to represent despair, I think should have no water drops. I realize that water drops are added to make something interesting, so it isn't JUST a rose, but there is no reason for this rose to have water. it's dead, and sad. otherwise, the focus and clarity are great. angle and framing/cropping are excelent and the background is also good. I like how it fades color. Great shot. good luck in the challenge. |
