My 4 year-old daughter's first DPC "modeling" gig. Took a lot of bribing to get her to do this as she absolute hates the hair dryer.
Took the shade of the lamp on the night table for some back lighting and had her stand about 1 foot from the wall. Turn the hair dryer on high and started snapping pictures (about 20 in total). I finally stopped as I wasn't happy with how they appeared in the LCD. Then came editing and this picture was the best of the bunch. I like it!!!
Adjusted levels, cropped and converted to B&W. That was it.
There is a slight white mark on her cheek that I wish I can edit (toothpaste...lol) as it was right before bed and I did not notice it until afterwards when editing. Thought of a re-shoot and realized I'm going photo crazy, so left as is...
Please be kind as she is only 4 and shouldn't be exposed to too much criticism. In other words, nothing less than 6 please ;o)
Cheers

She's just too darn cute! Love the hair blowing and the position of the child in the lower-right hand corner of the frame. B&W is the perfect medium for this kind of shot!
I love the composition. There's also a grittiness about this image that is very appealing. Its one of those image that defies explaination to a certain degree yet makes its way straight into my favourites. Nice work. Good luck.
