Thank you everyone! This came out pretty much as I planned it, and was pleased that the weather I needed cropped up just at the right time for me to enter it into the challenge.
This particular part of the lake is always really misty in the mornings in winter and if you're lucky enough to get a clear day, the strong sun rising over the mountain behind diffuses over the lake through the mist and creates this effect. On top of this, the particular mooring for boats is something I've wanted to shoot for a while as it's private but accessible to the public the boats are spaced out nicely, whereas most public moorings are a chaotic mess of boats all crammed in like sardines.
The water is also really still in this part, meaning the masts of the boats don't get all blurry as you usually get (although it was bright enough to do short exposures thankfully)
I really wanted to capture that for the challenge and I was fortunate enough that it happened on this particular day :)
