If you visit Yosemite, I highly recommend taking the valley tour. In summer, it's an open air wagon sort of thing. In winter, it's a wonderfully warm bus. But they do let you out at four spots, and this was one of them.

I find woodland photography both wonderful and incredibly difficult due to the chaos. I think you've found a good spot here on a day with decent conditions. But something about it feels a little rushed. Perhaps the disembodied branch in the top right, the horizon line that I'm not quite convinced is straight... I'd love to see a re-crop as I think there's a much better composition hiding in this very shot, you may also have others from the day.
