Shot from a moving car. The silly people I was traveling with were more focused on getting to our campsite (we were on our way in to the park) than the awesome atmospheric conditions we had! I gotta stop traveling with non-photographers. They don't even understand the whole get-up-early thing either. :-)

I too laughed at the non-photographer thing! I wonder how many more good photos I might have if my hubby had been willing to stop for me… or not get impatient once we did stop.

many congratulations on the blue and another one knocking your middleton doll further down the page .. altho i must say when i was pretty new on dpc that doll blew me away .. its still one of my favs too ..
anyway back to this wonderful win for you and such an incredible shot ..
the fact that it was taken from a moving car just goes to show if you are a great photographer difficult conditions wont stop you .. and i'm just thinking .. if you werent in that moving car you may not have got this magic shot .. !! ..
often things that arent planned work out better anyway ..
but i've gotta say .. you need to train your friends .. if you show them this they may take your photographic needs into account on your next sojourn .. :)
