 A child's eye is often drawn to large objects on the river like tugboats and barges. It's a thrill when they get the captains to blow the loud horns for them!

The camera is struggling a bit with that sky there, it's always tough with direct sunlight.

The railing in the bottom is an unfortunate distraction too.

But the subject is a good choice and another good idea for a challenge. Try a little wider next time for the shot, let the subject breathe a bit. Remember the rule of thirds goes both horizontally and vertically and you'll have a solid composition!
