It will be interesting to see how many people get tripped up by this image just because it happens to be yellow... Oh well, yet another way to have fun with DPChallenge!

First off, congrats on the win! This is an excellent shot with many great qualities. First I like the feel of the background. The dark stripes with the brighter ones really have a nice feel to them. Not only do they create the nice reflection in your glass, but they give the shot depth. The glass is unique in shape and has a nice curve to it, this rhythm coupled with the reflection of the background in it draws my eye in. It is more art then photography with the refractions and curves presented. Working with light on glass is not an easily done. I did a glass shot for yellow and had some issues with mine. You have one bright spot on the neck of the glass, but not large enough to be a distraction. The thing that does catch my eye is that you may have oversharpened. You have some stair stepping on the edges of the glass. Other then that, your exposure is excellent!
I like it when a photographer creates more than just a photo, but a piece of art!
This was my favorite of the week. It was my highest rated image of the Rhythmn or Yellow challenges. Could have easily taken first in either challenge. Great image and congratulations on the win.
Not a single person razzed me by saying I should have entered the Yellow challenge instead... I am both pleasantly surprised and deeply embarrassed. (mcmurma opens his mouth, inserts foot)
After looking at this one long and hard for a third time I bumped you up from a 6 to an 8! The crop is great, and the way you have those reflections in the glass look really refracted. You got that glass looking so glassy at the top. It looks so blurry in the reflection at the top, it mixes in so well. Good job on this one!
Not quite sure what I'm looking at, but it is definitely one of the best abstract images I've seen here in a while! Looks like the kind of thing that could be blown up into an interesting poster. -9
excellent! you should do well with this. has many uses, and great refection on the stem of the glass. great abstract! I really like the ingenuity that went into this!
