The concept is great. If you had a better location and a more straight on perspective, you would have had something here.

an outdoor shot would have been better, or at least make more sense

the background is not good for a shot like this.. and as you see taking this indoors, forces you to use flash .. and looks likeyou are using on camera flash which doesn't give required results. You might like to take it outside with some green grass and the sky and you won't even need flash there and more clarity in the photo in general
