The nuts and bolts were set up on a glass table with a black background which gave a nice reflection. The editing was fairly simple. RAW auto, Crop, Slightly rotate I removed the noise in the background using several different tools, the burn tool, the healing brush and the clone tool. The certain tools worked better depending on where the artifact was in the picture. I selectively lightened certain areas of the bolts to give more consistency in the lighting. I did a simple desaturation of the final picture and sharpened with Topaz.
If you have any questions you can post them in the comments and I will respond.

expected to see something like this and thought about trying it myself, nice clean image, well focused and exposed curious how this would work rotated 90 degrees clockwise
I'm not usually overly struck by this sort of still life, but I do like your play on words. Combine that with a well presented and photographed image and it is a 7 from me.
i'm looking and looking and thinking .. how does this represent out of order .
and then it hit me . !!!!! ..
i'm a bit slow sometimes .
what a fantastic take on the challenge .. especially as the challenge doesnt specify anything .. just out of order ..
loving your lateral thinking .. and of course your brilliant photo .
this is AWESOME .. :)
