Technically unconventional (horrible was the first word I used, but I don’t think my tone using it translated well to the written space), compositionally a tad 'off' for this viewer, and yet it totally captures the bond between dog and owner. I do though have a couple of issues with it that prevent, for me, it moving into the artlessly charming, high scoring area. The most glaring is the encroachment of a hand to the left of the frame - once spotted, this totally changed the way I viewed the photo. Strange how a tiny thing like that can matter so much. |
