I like the intent look in his eyes. The ears standing straight up tells me that he is always focused. Excellent capture.

nice browns, the limited pallet works for me here, the out of focus item (pillow/blanket) in the foreground distracts and would be stronger for me if we could see more of the pooch

Lovely portrait, pleasing tones, sharp, excellent dof (Ha! auto-correct wants to change that to dog). The only bit I'm not so keen on is the fabric that has crept in to the lower right part of the frame - and it is super distracting.
