This is a 26-frame 360 deg. "spherical" panorama taken from a drone suspended at 400ft above the ground and stitched and rendered in some kind of rectilinear projection with PTGui and Photoshop. I wanted to shoot it at night, at long exposure, to get the light streaks. But remember, this was a drone, not a camera on a tripod, so it was far from certain that I would get anything usable. I must admit that result far exceeded my expectations. All frames were taken at 4 sec exposure but came back plenty sharp and easily stitchable.
Here is how this intersection looked in a couple of more "normal" 9-frame panoramas (one at daylight, another at night with a similarly long exposure). I was considering them for the challenge too, but then decided to go with the crazier one.

many congratulations Lev on an amazing image and the blue ..
and thankyou for the backstory .. even tho I didn't understand this bit .. "This is a 26-frame 360 deg. "spherical" panorama"
which is ok .. I understood the rest ..!!..
Thank you Roz! Well, "spherical" is the name that my drone has for this type of panorama. In reality, it is only hemi-spherical: its 26 frames cover full 360 deg horizontally but only the bottom 180 deg. The drone camera only can tilt down, but not up.

Just wow. The long exposure just really lights up those highway which just looks like a really cool racetrack. The clouds, the city lights, everything is just absolutely lovely here. Top marks here.
