"April" is such an odd looking word, right? It seems to want more at the end to me...
Anyway, I love these 'Include all of these things" challenges!
They are so much fun to plan, set up, shoot, and see what everyone else came up with!
Yes, garlic is a vegetable (in the onion family). Who knew?
And... it was also the only vegetable in our house except for some spinach, cabbage, and an onion. None of those were looking good for the shoot. Well... maybe the onion, but that's harder to imagine painting.
So... garlic it was!
Don't judge my painting. I put it on cheap paper that I've never used (not that I've used many papers... at all! Ha! ) and the watercolor paint did not move... at all. It's supposed to move when you want it to. *sigh*
Anyway, it's not about the painting... I did it in less than ten minutes. It took longer to set it all up, for sure. It's about the photograph.
As a side note, the "wall" on the right is the poster board from my Water Drops entry. Your trivia for the day...
Charming. Beautifully imagined, arranged and photographed. Painted in less than ten minutes? That's wonderful. All the necessary pieces are purposeful, and blend effortlessly into the whole. A tour de force.
Personal favorite of the challenge.
loved reading your trivia ..
i'm really sorry but i didnt vote or comment in this challenge but opened a couple .. and this was one .. and having seen a few of your creative endeavours with the paintbrush i felt this could have been done by no-one but you ..
congratulations on the blue ribbon .. and a great entry in the challenge . :)
You are so multi-talented! Don’t downplay the painting as it is quite good! Congrats on a very creativel and imaginative picture. A well deserved blue ribbon.
Great take on the subject! I like the painting better than the photo. The photo is nice, but the lighting seems off on it, somehow. However, the painting is awesome! 7 for the photo -- but I would have given the painting a 9. :)
