Thanks so much all. It was fun to have it stay high for the entire week - up and down, of course, but never dipping alarmingly. I did not have this in mind when I shot - it began as an outtake for Thingie on Thingie - but though I kind of liked the set-up, the upper right was empty and driving me crazy. Got the idea for the addition and the droste effect late, so it took me much longer to accomplish than it ought to have. Always gratifying to work as hard as I did on this one AND have a nice result!
And I quite agree with willem - no emotional reaction from me, either. But satisfying on a different level anyway :) Pretty sure the cup was centered on the saucer . . . but maybe not . . . and I should have noticed that and moved it left; I do agree that perfect symmetry is very important to the success of something like this.

Nicely done but it does not evoke any emotion with me. Technical point: The cup should have been moved slightly to the left so it was totally horizontal, symmetrical and in line with the saucers.
this is lovely, Nikki! I've always wanted to do one of these, but I always end up too lazy to do it in Standard. I should do it in Extended. Maybe I'd have the patience there. Ha!
