Not sure what happened in post processing (?), but the birds are hardly visible and a lot of detail of the image seems to be lost everywhere. Probably the original was much better.

oh Boy this looks like the good old Kiwi summer light Bright and Brash and SFA mid tones. fill flash can help turn the power right down.
BTW A late friend of mine was a top Bird photographer, with a FRPS, he said he struggled with our summer light ..
