Shooting into the sun one of those shots that after you finish you think "How stupid am I ?". Shooting into the sun is not supposed to be good for you, unless you need your retina spot welded to the back of your eyeball. My eye still aches and I'm hoping its just the cold I am suffering through. My idea was to use one shot for both challenges this week but I chickened out. Shot with the Sigma 50-500 to maximize the barrel spots and flare.
Shot in RAW, converted straight, then I used the automatic color correcting in Elements by just using the black eyedropper to punch up the building, saved for web at 20 % and sharpening at 0, 0.6, 72.

Excellent positioning. Nice texture on thewater. A tad less exposure might have given some more color gradation around tower. Actually, I like this picture more when I desaturate the yellow to -40. The effect is still there but there is more color gradation. An 8.
I've looked at this photograph about 5-6 times before finally voting and commenting. I like it and think it meets the challenge. And I know that white is a color, too. But it does appear too blown-out here. It detracts from an otherwise wonderful photograph. Hope this is helpful. :)
