I saw this a day or two ago and have been meaning to comment ..
it literally takes my breath away ..
I'm on my phone so I won't write a novel lol ..
but this is up there as one of THE most beautiful scenes I've ever seen ..
of course my penchant for black and white helps .. and how much I absolutey love the mist/fog in a photo ..
but even if they weren't elements that really tug at me .. this would still speak volumes to that place in us all that connects to the incredible beauty that can be found in nature ..
many congrats on the blue .. so perfect for the challenge .. and what a great score .. and of course that it got on your profile page ..
no mean feat in this day and age in dpc .. well for me at least .. probably not so much for you ..!!.. ;)
You have beaten me at my game, Anita, congrats on the Blue in this challenge and very likely in the ribbons race as you are now back to entering all challenges.
Not all, but the interesting ones ;)
You must find them all interesting as sine 1st July you entered all of them! :)
Okay well you really are keeping a tabs on me aren’t you :-). I think probably because the holiday we took in June garnered quite a few nice photos that I could use for nearly a month. And now you know what happens when you get the bug ;)

I really really like this one, but imo, it doesn't fit the definition. It is my understanding that in layering:
Good landscape photos have layers or objects in the foreground (close to you), middle ground (medium distance from the camera), and background (farthest away)
Really, none of this is close to you. It's all pretty much far away. We don't get a feeling of what is right next to you.
You may disagree with my definition, but I like the photo so much, I needed to explain why it is a 5 instead of an 8.
