Flowers have intrigues mankind since the beginning of time with their beauty and their scent. I have been wanting to take some flower shots with all of the flowers in bloom. I was slightly disheartened when the criteria specifically called out not using real flowers. But I have some amazing daughters that love art in all its various forms. One of them made several flowers for me, and then we had a great photo session on a cool spring day.
The flower was shot on a small table, using a wire shirt hanger as the stem and a bokeh background on my iPad. I had the camera on a tripod, situated the scene, and then took several shots, varying the flower and the background. From there I made some minor adjustments in Lightroom and added a few different blur effects in Photoshop. I'm excited to see how this one turns out.
