Natasha, What a wonderfull portrait
I love the way the 2 bodies mix and you can't see the distinktion between the 2 t-shirts
Just like if there is one single body
Meeting the Challenge: Excellent job of this. Title also works well with this photo. It looks like the wife is comforting the husband in a time of sadness.
Composition: Excellent, wouldn't change anything about the composition, except one tiny thing. For some reason, the necklace on the husband distracts me just a little bit, as all of the photo is either darkness or human, except for this. No big deal, just being really picky about this detail. I like how the two bodies meld together as if their souls were joined.
Technical Quality: The lighting is nice and provides tons of contrast. As I noted below, personally, I would have like a little less shadow on the wife's face. Nice use of sepia. No post-processing errors noted.
Creativity: Very good, it's hard to portray a couple and add the emotion that this photo portrays.
Conclusion:
A very nice photo, would have expected it to score a little higher, but this was a competitive challenge.

Natasha, sorry I didn't get around to voting and commenting on this one ... it's an absolutely beautiful portrait of you and your husband. I also like the story behind it ... probably because I'm from Germany and my husband is from the US :)
Love the shot but wish it didn't have so many shadows. I can't tell if that is long hair from the person in front or a shadow on the lady in back. At first look I thought it was two women of different cultures. Then as I looked at the face qualities I wasn't sure if the person in the front was a man or a woman. I like the idea of the shadows just not so pronounced that I can't tell where the hair ends and the shadow starts. I hope you can understand. I love the sepia tone. Really nice one. Just, for me, needs a little different execution. Otherwise it would be a 10 in my book.
lovely and well-done. my only comment is that the two people should be wearing different color shirts, because this, unfortunately, looks like a two-headed creature. very nice image, however.
this is an interesting shot.
look at her expression, and her possessive body language.
look how he is detached by looking away. He could really care less, and would rather be elsewhere. but he is bound by her and cannot go. His eyes are flat, and empty. This relationship is killing him.
the shadows and tones also suit the mood.

LOL.. they are probably very much in love, and I am not sure if this is what you intended to portray.. but I like it very much, and it is what it says to me. :)
Lovely portrait. Really like the lighting and use of duotone, along with excellent contrast. A little less shadow on the girl might have been my only suggested improvement. Good luck in the challenge.
Very nice portrait. The image is sharp and the black background helps me foucs on the subjects. I like how only one of thes subjects is looking at the camera ... like he isn't aware of the photo being taken. My first 10. Good luck. Jacko.
