Another shot from this location, Kualoa Beach Park, on the east side of the island. At this time of year the milky way rises at about 330am so had to get here at around 4am. It's about a 40 minute drive and because the park doesn't open til sunrise you need to park outside and walk in. This spot is a decent distance in.
I went the morning before as well but there was only a small window of opportunity because of there were quite a bit of clouds. The second night luckily there were no clouds and barely any wind as well.

Just gorgeous, Mark. So jealous - last night I looked out at a clear moonlit sky thru my skylight and fought to see more than a handful of stars. I need to come visit. ;)
