The idea came to me to do something a little different, and interpret the title quite literally, but also have the flash to go off and do its job, so nobody would be able to accuse me of ignoring the spirit of the challenge :). And I also made sure to do it in my backyard, so the "outdoors" part would be taken care of as well.
Balancing a big camera and a flash on a piece of plywood on top of an egg proved not easy, so I used a little cardboard "crutch" (which was easily cloned out in p/p) to provide an additional point of support. Still the whole contraption was precariously shaky, I am happy that it did not go crashing down during the shoot.
Since I only could trigger my Nikon flash from the on-camera flash in the command mode, I had to put the Nikon camera on a timer, trigger it, and then run to press the shutter on my Olympus to capture the moment both Nikons fired. The exposure needed to be long enough so I won't miss the flash, so I used a 10-stop ND filter on my Olympus to extend it to a couple of seconds.
Of course, I knew I would get a healthy share of low votes from people expecting to only see outdoor portraits, so I am happy that it still managed to end up on the front page. Those who enjoyed it, thank you for the votes and comments!

Very creative and quite a literal interpretation of the challenge. I truly appreciate the thought process that went into creating this result. Way to go!
