The angle, dof, implied motion, shading and coloration all seem to work so well for this shot. I can't fold a plane anywhere near as perfectly as you made this one, so an extra point just for that. Good crop, just enough sharpness, even the shape and placement of the tree behind adds to the composition. There is no obstacle to seeing the link to technology and this is very low tech. Only thing I can see and it is pickiness is that the tree's blurring has that hypnotic zig-zag effect on my eyes, perhaps a bit more or less or a darkening of the background to lessen my dizziness. ;-)
great idea, I know that it might be a little difficult to do but it would be really good if you could get some light from beneath (possibly using a large sheet of white paper as a sunlight reflector), I think that this would give the plane a really dynamic feeling.
