Ok -- candids are getting more and more difficult (or more and more simple, depending upon how you look at it.)
The challenge, imo, is to photograph a moment without being a distraction. It's incredibly easy to not be caught, if you want candids of people looking at their phones!!
It's almost impossible to get a candid where someone ISN'T looking at their phone!
Well, at least the places I've been.
I really didn't know what to do with this. But I found myself waiting at a train station. I thought:
"perfect! Lots of candid opportunities while people are waiting!"
Nope. Every single, solitary person was looking at their phones!!
Until I saw these two. They talked for awhile, and I watched from across the tracks. I noticed the billboards and thought they were fun.
Then I saw him yawn!!! How perfect!! A billboard with people sleeping and a guy yawning!!
But I missed the yawn.
Surely, when someone yawns once, they'll yawn again.
And he did!
But I didn't like the shot. So I'll wait some more.
The problem is: I'm not a psychopath.
You may wonder what that has to do with anything. Well, you can tell psychopaths because they don't do sympathetic yawning.
I am SOOOOO not a psychopath. When someone yawns, I have to yawn. If my cat yawns, it makes me yawn. If my son says the word yawn, I yawn!
It's a little more difficult taking photos of a guy who's yawning when you can't stop yawning yourself!
Thanks for the comments. :)

Hahaha! He caught the yawn of the billboard model :) Perfect! I think I made a comment on one of the photos that its almost impossible to capture a candid when the person is not on the phone. At least you got a great one with someone on their phone! Congratulations!
