Sorry about the tough introduction to dpchallenge. As you can see, meeting the criteria well is important to a lot of people. Perhaps you could have recoloured the table yellow using photoshop. The image still has some focus issues though - partly because of low light.
If the coin was rotating as you mentioned then perhaps a really slow shutter speed could have showed the rotation. I'm not sure if your camera is good at Macro, but with 3MP resolution you could have cropped the coin to make it larger, rather than resize the image down.
not exactly what I think of when I think "yellow", but there may be some kind of meaning here for you. sorry if I seem like an idiot, but this doesn't look like it's in focus, and I don't really see any yellow at all. I think that the angle is ok. the negative space is an advantage to the shot. good luck in the challenge.
I'm confused. The subject seems to be the coin, but the focus is either on the floor or the chair. The coin is so fuzzy, I can't make it out well. Is it yellow? Was the coin in motion? (see title) Sorry, 4 Swash
the coin is out of focus - this is not good for a main subject... the green background of the table is "noisy" - i had the same problem with one of my entries, and somebody recommended this free demo software "neatimage" - i tried it and it works just great!
I don't really get how it fits the challenge. The table looks green to me, as do the stripes in the chair's upholstry. I'm only rating it lower because it doesn't really fit the challenge, it's a fine shot otherwise.
I may be completely missing something here, but I don't see any yellow... If the coin is the subject of this photo, it probably needs to be in sharper focus to create more impact :) - setzler
