thankyou so much everyone for your lovely comments on this little butterfly ... who i actually thought was a moth until about 10 minutes ago .. ;)
and two favs .. blew me away .. thankyou so much for that .. xx
i actually went out into the yard looking for something insectlike to put in the 101 meters .. and this was entered in that challenge ..
until i realized this was really all about WINGS .. !! .. lol ..
so i stuck him in the wings challenge and went looking for something else for the 101 ..
which ended up being a beautiful little fly who got an honourable mention ..
would love to be able to give that little fly a pat on the back as a reward .. altho that would probably kill him ..
but i do like to thank my subjects for their participation in the challenges .. because they are the other half that make a picture possible ..
so thankyou also little butterfly .. hope you are still enjoying the morning sun ..
and Mary MaryO .. totally would have liked to have the other wing in focus .. in fact nearly didnt enter because of that .. but i would have had to focus stack .. and i only got off a couple of shots .. and none with the focus on the far wings .. before katee scared him away .. :(

This is just beautiful! The light is perfect, the focus is perfect. I love the tiny droplets on the oh-so-fine hairs. This little fella deserves his own fairy tale. And a ribbon. 10
