I was outside in -3 degrees taking a long exposure shot of the eclipse. I had 2 cameras. One for the long exposure 400 mm lens and one with a 70-200 lens and a 2X extender for single shots just in case the long exposure didn’t come out. I weighted down the tripods because of the 30 MPH winds. I set the exposure for 1 1/2 hours and made a curtain to go over the lens so I could make an exposure every 15 minutes. Every 15 minutes I raised the curtain for 8 seconds. Unfortunately my field of view would only allow me 3 exposures that were in the frame in order to focus close enough to the moon to make it interesting. I did not know this until I saw the final result. This was my first experience with using the Bulb mode with timed exposures. I'm pretty happy with it considering the circumstances. Wouldn't mind an 800mm lens!!
