Picture of the Tower of America taken downtown. The trip was more expensive than I planned, but I took lots of shots and it was worth it. The view up there is amazing. I slightly cropped and adjusted this shot. I do wish I was able to shift to the right a bit to improve the perspective in the shot.

Composition: I think the centered tower works great for this shot although another approach you could try would be having the tower start at one of the bottom corners and maybe cut across the shot at an angle. There is a lot of empty space in this picture so the cloud really does help a lot.
Technical: Not much to say here. Lighting is great, focus is nice and sharp.
Overall: Well you met the challenge and did a really good job with the shot. Maybe just a little tighter crop would have raised your score a few points.
No doubt about it, that's perspective! Your focus, DOF, lighting is all great. The depth of blue in the sky is really outstanding, and I like the clouds in the corner, although it would have been nicer if they were whiter to give more contrast. Adjusting them to white would have blown elements in the tower, though. I realize it's against the rules for this contest, but it would be interesting to see this with more contrast in the details of the tower itself. Maybe the burn tool in Photoshop (or similar method in another program) would bring out the details in the tower walls. Nice job on this shot and good luck in the challenge!
This photo is dramatic and effective but a little monotonous. The centred composition is very formal, and there isn't much about the tower that captures my interest. The little puff of cloud in the top left is a great touch though.

A couple of building shots this week but I like this one.It's well cropped and centered (which works well for this pic). The cloud adds a lot to the pic breaking the otherwise mundane symetry. Crisp focus and DOF. 8
O Canada, my home and native land. Very, very nice shot of the CN Tower. The composition is just right. The only thing I'd like to see changed is to remove the cloud on the upper left side; a bit distracting (take it out with Photoshop and make a copy to hang on your wall). I can easily imagine the shot without the cloud, so I'll give you a 10. Good luck. Jacko. 10
