and i just now examined your picture a little more .. afer making a comment on my very first impressions .. and noticed the bag that actually said 'what's inside matters' .. great logo for a bag .. :)
awwwww ... so cute marion .. loving that the cow is actually lying down with the child there .. the cows i know wouldnt let you that close without freaking out .. !! ..
and the other thing i really like is your caption .. as its so true about EVERYTHING .. !! .. well maybe not technically everything .. but the things that really matter .. !! .. :)
the candid becomes almost painterly because it settles into two diagonals: The subtle diagonal of the wall and cow, with the perpendicular diagonal of the boy and box.
A charming moment of his day, his life, and I feel privileged to share it. I like how unpretentious and affectionate this is. A foreshadowing of Christmas?
Love the way the title is played out in a number of spots in this one - the lettering, the feed pail, the large chest that contains who knows what - and then the kid who is probably raising this cow and learning so much by doing so.
So, I read the title then wondered what was in the feed bucket, then strained my neck trying to read what is written on the grey box the young man is looking at then my eyes finally dropped to the shopping bag and the penny dropped!
So, the title works on many levels :) (and what is in the grey box?)
